Our event in Perth is WA's premier Careers, Employment, Education and Training event and is called 'Skills West Expo'.

Now in it's third year, Skills West Expo is held over three days (Fri-Sun) and in 2011 was held in August. The event was SOLD OUT and attracted a record 22,000+ visitors who had the opportunity to talk to over 100+ exhibitors.
 
A wide range of industries were represented including resources and energy, mining, oil & gas, hospitality, construction, healthcare and social assistance, aviation, fitness, manufacturing, retail, ICT, rail, education and training, financial and insurance services plus many many more!
 
This leading event is free entry to the general public and in 2012 will again be held at WA’s leading venue, the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
 
Opening the event and a major supporter, the Minister for Training & Workforce Development, Hon Peter Collier MLC continued to stress the importance of investment in professional skills to support the State’s future. Event Ambassador in 2011 was Danny ‘the Green Machine’ Green, who made a brief appearance at the Expo.

* The expo has designated areas for Career Advice, Industry and Employers, Education & Training Providers, a huge interactive area and Stage Demonstrations.
* A large ‘Resources & Engineering Employers’ area is one of the highlights of the event
* The Friday of the expo is accessible to organised visits from the secondary school students as well as being open to the general public. School Career Advisers are given the opportunity to plan their visit and seminars are tailored for this audience.
* Saturday and Sunday are similar to each other, providing a more adult theme to promote employment, graduate programme's, trades, encourage training and provide real job opportunities.
* Seminar Theatres are available for exhibitors to promote their industries, specific job opportunities and the value of training. Friday seminars have a focus on students.
