Thank you to all our exhibitors and visitors who attended the years largest ever Careers, Employment, Education and Training event in Queensland.
The event was a major success and continued the reputation of The National Careers and Employment Expo as the premier and leading free careers event with over 120+ exhibitors over an area of 5000 sqm.
In partnership with The Courier Mail and CareerOne, audiences enjoyed a fantastic showcase of employment, skills, education and training opportunities across Brisbane and Queensland.
The new 'CSQ CONSTRUCTION CAREERS ARENA' was very popular as Queensland moves closer to the projected construction boom. Origin Legend, Steve Walters opened the area and this timely initiative of over 250sqm was a popular destination for employment and career seekers and people looking to reskill.
Launching in 2012 with our exclusive banking provider and seminar sponsors was the Commonwealth Bank, and their;
'HEAPS HANDY CAREER ADVICE'
No matter what industry or stage of training you're in, they had all the money management tips and know-how you need. If you're a trainee, apprentice or working full time and you don't have a lot of time to run around looking for financial advice as you build your career. They created 'HEAPS HANDY'. There were heaps of videos, articles and useful products to make your life easier and your money work harder.

In the major industry/employer areas visitors sought careers advice and employment information from a wide variety of industries and spoke directly with employers such as: Queensland State Government and leading Government Agencies, Aviation Australia, Defence Force Recruitment, BAE Systems, Woolworths, Flight Centre, Fire and Rescue Services, Forest and Wood Products, Anglo American, Redpath, Boart Longyear, Queensland Rail and Brisbane City Council.
When is came to education and training, the event delivered all the options across all sectors in Tertiary, VET or private education.
All the Universities were there: University of Queensland, QUT, University of Southern Queensland, CQ University, Griffith University, Southern Cross University, James Cook University, University of New England, Australian Catholic University and Christian Heritage College.
There were the hugely popular major arenas of: TAFE Queensland, Southbank Institute of Technology and a wealth of colleges and educational institutes including; Think Education, Study Group, JMC Academy, SAE Group, Sarina Russo guaranteed that all education and training sectors and subjects were represented including; fitness, healthcare, IT, retail, hospitality, hair and beauty, and business services to name a small selection...
The 2012 Seminar Programme's continued with 2 separate Seminar Theatres (Education/Training & Industry/Employer) presented by 'Commonwealth Bank' and "HEAPS HANDY Career Advice is Here'. All seminars were FREE of Charge and featured presentations from a wide range of education providers, government agencies, employers and industry bodies.
